Rather than opting for a bigger robot, our clients have found it more affordable and convenient to increase transfer distance by installing our robots onto linear stages. Mecademic robots are ultra-easy to transport without compromising repeatability due to their minimal weight and compact size.

Benefit from various gripping technologies

While most of our clients take advantage of Mecademic’s miniature electric gripper, our robots are easy to integrate with any third-party pneumatic grippers or vacuum generators. Gripping technology can be controlled directly from the Meca500 using our optional pneumatic module. Alternatively, it can be controlled by your PLC.

Choose the right Mecademic robot for your automated pick and place project

SCARA Robot

If your application contains small parts presented on horizontal surfaces, and if the parts can be inserted without reorienting them about non-vertical axes, then our SCARA robot is the perfect candidate for your robotic automated assembly application.

Meca500 Robot

In some automated assembly scenarios, our Meca500 robot arm is a better fit. Choose the six-axis robot if:

 

  • your application involves working with parts that are presented in different orientations (such as in 3D bin picking) or that need to be reoriented about non-vertical axes;
  • small tilting motions are required during the fitting process, even when parts theoretically remain horizontal;
  • your application does not have a horizontal mounting surface;
  • a tool turret end effector is used.
