Teach robotics without making your students learn complex robot programming languages and environments. Mecademic robots do not have a proprietary programming language and are easy to control. Simply use Ethernet to stream any of the motion and request commands described in our programming manual. The robots come with a web interface for jogging and program testing. You can control them with ROS, Python, Matlab, or C++ using some of the APIs we offer, and even develop applications such as hand-guiding and fast visual servoing with our velocity control mode.

Users receive free firmware updates and technical support. Most setups using our robots don’t require expensive or custom robot cells. Choose the right Mecademic robot for your industrial automation needs

SCARA Robot

If your application contains small parts presented on horizontal surfaces, and if the parts can be inserted without reorienting them about non-vertical axes, then our SCARA robot is the perfect candidate for your robotic automated assembly application.

Meca500 Robot

In some automated assembly scenarios, our Meca500 robot arm is a better fit. Choose the six-axis robot if:

 

  • your application involves working with parts that are presented in different orientations (such as in 3D bin picking) or that need to be reoriented about non-vertical axes;
  • small tilting motions are required during the fitting process, even when parts theoretically remain horizontal;
  • your application does not have a horizontal mounting surface;
  • a tool turret end effector is used.
